INSTALLATION & CARE:
Unpack your water bowl immediately after delivery to allow any trapped moisture to escape. Leaving the product wrapped may cause uneven weathering.
Position the bowl on a firm, level surface before filling with water.
As the steel naturally weathers, some rust run-off is normal during the patina development process.
Clean annually by rinsing away dirt and debris with clean tap water.
Installing near the coast? The Steel performs best inland. If your property is within approximately 2 km (1.2 miles) of the coastline, salt-laden air can accelerate corrosion. Read our guide to Corten steel in coastal environmentsto learn whether the steel bowl suitable for your location.

Some rust run-off during the weathering process is completely normal.
Modifying the product by drilling, grinding or making alterations outside the manufacturer's recommendations will invalidate the warranty.

During the natural weathering process, rainwater can carry rust particles onto surrounding surfaces. This is completely normal for weathering steel. Choosing our pre-weathering service reduces the initial runoff, while our optional Owatrol protective coating significantly reduces future rust runoff and is recommended for porcelain paving and other decorative surfaces.

During the early stages of weathering, some rust particles may enter the water and slightly discolour it. This is a natural part of the steel weathering process and will reduce over time as the patina stabilises.

Very little maintenance is required. Occasional cleaning and topping up of water is generally all that’s needed to keep the feature looking its best year-round.
