Installing near the coast? Corten Steel performs best inland. If your property is within approximately 2 km (1.2 miles) of the coastline, salt-laden air can accelerate corrosion. Read our guide to Corten steel in coastal environments to learn whether the planter suitable for your location.
Prefer the finished look from day one? Enquire about our pre-weathered & Owatrol treated options. Your planter will arrive with a beautifully developed rust patina and be treated with Owatrol Oil to help protect the weathered finish.
PLANTING ADVICE:
Ensure proper drainage.
Do not use hydro pellets to retain moisture.
When using planters with a base, fill the bottom of the planter with a layer of gravel (Ø35 mm grading, approx. 10 cm).
Place a permeable anti-root membrane over the gravel.

Customer Reviews
“I recently messaged Rust and Roast on their Facebook page about ordering, Michael responded very quickly and was super helpful. I placed my order and it took a few weeks to arrive, The planters were a little bit fiddly to put together with no instructions But it was pretty self-explanatory to be honest. The planters seem sturdy. I ordered two 2 meter planters, They’ve been in around two weeks now And are already starting to rust. Our garden project isn’t finished yet, nowhere near. But these were our starting point. Highly recommend this company, Customer service is outstanding, even checked once the order had arrived if everything was okay.”
“Purchased a Corten steel water table and edging. Absolutely beautiful addition to the garden. Really good quality - incredibly well fabricated. Highly recommend!”
